 Loan
ATTENTION! There is a possibility of taking out a loan equivalent to the tuition fee ( ₤9,435 for three years of studies). The loan is granted by the English government and one only starts to repay it after graduating.
Repayment will be based on your earnings if you have a job. You do not have to repay the loan if you do not start earning more than:
| income threshold (gross earnings) | countries | £ 6,000 | Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania | £ 9,000 | Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, Turkey | £12,000 | Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, Spain, the USA | £ 15,000 | Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden, Japan
| £ 18,000 | Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland |
You will repay 9% of your earnings over the repayment threshold.
For example: you are working in Poland and earning the equivalent of ₤9800. This means you are ₤800 above the threshold. The 9% repayment on ₤800 works out at ₤72 per year, or ₤6 per month.
If you never earn enough to reach the threshold then you will never have to pay back the loan and it will be cancelled after 25 years.
